I’m exciting about the upcoming Zune launch which will occur on November 14th in the US. Unfortunately there has been no release date set for Canada. Hopefully it will be in time for Christmas. The Zune has some very interesting features, especially the included wifi and Windows Media Center integration. Hopefully it will be hackable and I can somehow use it with my Xbox 360 extender.

I look forward to the Zune taking a bite out of the iPod share of the market. iPods sell mainly because people want to look cool with their white headphone cables. There are superior players out there for less money but Apple has done a great job working the cool factor.

One question I have about the Zune is in regards to MP3 bookmarking. I listen to audio books quite often when commuting and use this feature extensively on my Rio Carbon. It appears to be a rare feature unless it is just an unadvertised feature. Hopefully the Zune will have it.
