For those interested in trying out Ping.fm, the latest beta code is ‘pingbewithyou.’

Ping.fm allows you to make your blog posts, micro-blog posts and status updates in one place and have them sent out to basically any or all of the social media sites you use. For example, one post can update your status on Facebook and MySpace, send out tweets and plurks to Twitter and plurk.com and update your livejournal and wordpress blog. There are dozens of other social networks and tools supported by Ping.fm as well.

Sites such as Ping.fm can be very useful and save you plenty of time. Personally it will take something very compelling to get me to stop using hellotxt.com, a similar service. I wonder what Ping.fm can do for me that hellotxt can’t…
